Sorry it's been awhile since I wrote. We're always busy with something! I probably could write A LOT, but I will try not to bore you! Last week, my mom and dad were here and dad and Jonathan finished the deck. It looks great! The only thing left to do is the dividing wall between our neighbor's deck and ours. We ate on our new deck furniture every evening except one this past week! We're really enjoying it! Elliott had fun hanging out with grandma and Earnie got wore out by Jake, my parent's dog. I've included a before and after pic of our deck.
Now, an update on me and the baby. I'm almost 26 weeks. I have already started going more often to the OB. Since I started contracting with Elliott at 29 weeks, they are taking more precautions. In addition, I really want to go to my 10 year class reunion, but I have to get clearance from the doctors first. So, on July 3o, they are going to do a fetal fibranectomy (sp??). This test determines if the baby is going to come within the next two weeks. As long as that comes back clear, I can go on the trip. That will be the last time we travel until she's born.
Also, this past week, my hematologist told me I could cut down to one injection a day (instead of two) of my Lovenox (blood thinner). I was so excited. That night, however, I noticed my right leg was swelling slightly. This was same leg I got the blood clot with Elliott. So, after speaking with one of the doctors, I took my evening shot and then in the morning, went to see my hematologist. I had to have a doppler of both legs. Thankfully, they didn't find anything. We are very grateful! My dr is going to keep a closer eye on me and check my blood levels more closely but I still get to do only one injection a day.
On another note, my grandpa is not doing well at all. He has had heart problems for 45 years including 7 heart attacks. He is now in the final stages of congestive heart failure and the edema has moved up to his belly. It is too much for my grandma to take care of him, as they are still living at home. My mom and her siblings are there this weekend and it sounds like tomorrow he will go to the hospital. He knows if he goes there, he will not be coming home. It is obvious he is near the end. I have made my peace with his passing. I know he is going to be a much better place and will finally have no more suffering, which he deserves. It is very hard on my mom and her siblings and my grandma. I ask for your prayers for all of them.
I better go for now. I've also included a photo from last weekend when Elliott played in his new pool. Earnie joined him. He got this as a treat in his potty training. He's still doing well. Three more months, hopefully he can get it down!
Take care and God Bless.
