Jonathan's 30! He turned the big 3-0 on Thanksgiving so got the typical (although yummy) turkey day meal. We celebrated on Thursday and he opened his gifts, so he was completely surprised when I threw him a surprise party the next night at his sister's house in CR! i was so glad he didn't have any idea! Megan, Emi and I had fun preparing , decorating and cooking. I'm so glad they were able to help me because I couldn't have done it without them...thanks ladies! We had a terrible trip to CR Wednesday night. The weather was not good and it ended up taking us 8 hours, normally a 4 1/2-5 hour trip. We were literally at a stand still on the interstate several times. There were numerous cars in the ditch and no towing available. We took a detour off the interstate outside of Des Moines because of a fatality accident that close a stretch of the interstate. Thank the Lord that the kids did wonderful. It was a very long trip but we finally made it in piece at about 10:30 that night. YUCK! I don't want to do that again. That's about it for now. I will try not to let it go this long between postings again. Take care and God Bless.
I live in the Midwest with my wonderful husband, Jonathan, of 8 years, our 5 1/2 year old son, Elliott and our almost 3 year old daughter Alana. We also have a dog named Earnie. We are a family who enjoys hanging out together; whether it be at home, at school, with friends or traveling to see family. We hope you enjoy knowing us more soon!

HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY DADDY!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY ELLIOTT!!!
I can't believe that Elliott is already 3! We had a good time celebrating. On his birthday, he celebrated with his friends at daycare. He helped me pick out the cupcake mix and frosting. Lana and I went to help sing to him at daycare. Then on Saturday, we went to Chuck E Cheese and had a few of his friends to help celebrate. We had a great time. He got lots of cars, clothes (fun for mom!) and Elmo slippers and a few football. Daddy and Elliott like to play "hike hike" but he has always played with Earnie's old squeak so we got him a cool little football. Too bad Earnie likes that more than his own squeak! Enjoy pics of our handsome "big boy"!
It's been awhile...
Sorry it's been so long but as anyone who adds a new baby to their family with one or more already at home, it is a handful. Plus having a teacher for a husband (and music at that)is especially bad at this time of the year. He has been gone more nights over the past month than at home. I can't wait for this week to be over! Then, it's a lot less hectic until about mid January. That's when showchoir season starts!
Alana will be 10 weeks tomorrow! She had her two month checkup on Wednesday and weighed 11 lbs 8 oz (70%ile) and is 22 1/2 inches long (50%ile). She is definitely bigger than her brother was at this point. She is starting to coo and "talk" She isn' sleeping through the night yet-waking up at about 4 or 4:30. Elliott was sleeping through the night at 8 weeks, so he spoiled me! The doctor couldn't believe how strong Miss Lana was-holding her head straight up. While on her tummy, she was pushing up so high, the dr also said she wouldn't be surprised if she rolled over soon...wow! She is growing up sooo fast! Last night was her first night in her crib. She did well.
I went back to work FT Monday the 26th. It wasn't easy. But it is a necessity for me to work. I keep praying that one day I can stay home with the kids.
I will add a few more posts after this, but here's my favorite two new pics of Alana.
Enjoy.
Take care and God Bless.
