27 weeks and what???

Well, apparently baby girl is trying to outdo her big brother! Yesterday we had to make a trip to the hospital as I was feeling a lot of pressure for a good 2 hours. So, we visited the labor and delivery floor. They did all sorts of tests, blood work, urine specimen, checked my cervix, etc. They found that I am about 20% effaced and a fingertip dilated-nothing huge. They weren't worried. They did the test I was talking about having next week, Fetal Fibronectin. That came back ok, thank goodness! I had a small detection of the start of a urinary tract infection. This can cause uterine irritability. It definitely was!! I was very uncomfortable. They did end up giving me a shot of terbutaline and it helped immensely! Dr prescribed me some antibiotics for the infection. By the time we left and went and got my prescription, it was 10. Elliott was a really good boy! I started feeling the pressure almost right away. It was relieved somewhat by laying down. I slept ok and had to call the dr this morning to give them an update. I have to go in this afternoon for an ultrasound. I'm still feeling some pressure, but not as intense. We're praying everything is going to be ok!!

Besides the drama, things have been good here! We have been trying to stay cool and were thankful for a couple cooler days last week! Sunday we went to the Heartland Festival which is hosted by a Christian evangelist, Luis Palau. Elliott got to see Veggie Tales and we were planning on staying and listening to a couple of great christian artists and to Luis's message, but it was toooo hot! We were disappointed, but it happens. I've included a pic of the two studs in sunglasses!! Jonathan attended a leadership conference on Tues and Wed. He had a nice time and learned some valuable things. Elliott and I got hang out! It was fun! One of the pics is of him eating an Orange Dreamsicle. He looks like a cheeseball! Well, prayers are always appreciated! We will update when we have more news! Take care and God Bless!
