Good morning and happy Saturday! Yesterday was one of those picture perfect days. Unfortunately, I had a headache pretty much all day so I didn't get to enjoy the day like I wish I could have, oh yeah, and the other small detail, I had to work!
Elliott got to be home with daddy yesterday and they had an interesting day. We had our piano tuned by a wonderful man. He is blind and does all of the tuning by ear. To show what a small world it can be, he has been to my hometown, tuned pianos at the Christian School Jonathan used to work at and knows the principal and one of the teachers there. In addition, he goes to our church here. What a great man!
Elliott got fitted for his tux for Uncle Dan and Aunt Megan's wedding yesterday. Of course, daddy didn't think it was as big of a deal as mommy! I asked him if he looked all cute in his tux coat and he said, yeah sure. Now, if I had been there, I would probably have cried! :)
The other fun part of yesterday was daddy and Elliott got to sit at the city building for 2 HOURS to try and figure out our building permit for rebuilding our deck. I won't forget to mention this was during Elliott's nap time! One notable event, Elliott cut his finger on something and smeared blood on the wall!!
Everything was fine with our specs, but we found out that all of the decks in this area were built illegally, no building permits! Nice, huh? So, they finally figured it out and we got our permit, classified as a "repair". Next order of business, order the supplies and get our lilac bush torn out! It's all a lot of work! But, it will be awesome to have it done. I'm so grateful my mom and dad can come down and help out!
Well, better get ready for the day!
God Bless
