First of all, Happy Belated Birthday to our friend Sara, Elliott's godmother, Emily and uncle Keith! In addition, happy birth day to little Spencer! Our friends Steve and Sara finally welcomed their little boy yesterday morning (5 days overdue). Of course, I want to go see him, but I can't. Hopefully after they get settled, they can come see me!
Jonathan has started back with school stuff. Wednesday through today, maybe tomorrow, is show choir rehearsal. It's going to be an amazing year! I'm excited to see it all come together. I am of course, sad that I can't go up to rehearsal and see their progress or go to Spirit Fest. They will have to perform for me, Elliott and baby girl once she gets here!
I had a little fun the other night. I went through all the clothes that my cousins, Kristi and Gina, sent me for baby girl! I am not going to have to buy any clothes for the first year of her life! Maybe a few for summer (6-9 months) but that would be it. Aunt Megan bought her some really cute newborn clothes, so I'm excited to put her in those right away. And, we have a coming home outfit too. Our daycare lady also gave us some really cute clothes. We are so set!!
I've started working from home this week, Part-time. It is definitely making the time pass faster and I actually really look forward to it. I think it will be different this week because Jonathan heads back to school. He usually gets lunch for me, so I will have to do that now. Not that I don't already have to get up to go to the bathroom like every 45 minutes, so I will just make sure to put that into one of my trips.
I did go to the OB on Thursday because she wasn't moving hardly at all. Of course, once I got to the office, she started moving! They did check me and cervix and thankfully everything is about the same. My OB had said there was a possibility of the cervix actually lengthening. It hasn't done that, but has stayed just about the same, at tiny bit shorter. So, the bedrest is working.
Some people have asked me if my dr will take me off bedrest. The answer is no. This is a precaution so she doesn't come early. It would not be worth it to us if she decided to take me off bedrest and then she did come early. Then it would be like all for nothing. Some OB's will let a person off of bedrest at 34 weeks. Their philosophy is, if the baby is born at 34 weeks, you're more than likely not going to take the baby home with you right away. So, why not keep you on bedrest til 37 weeks and then there's hardly a chance you wouldn't bring little one home with you. So, that's my long winded explanation!
My dad is slowly on the mend. Although he hasn't been able to sleep in bed yet, too uncomfortable yet. But, he's making progress, thank the Lord!!
Lastly, is it fall yet? This weather is ridiculous. One of the few reasons I'm glad to be in the house. It's going to be 100 today with humidity and high dew points! YUCK!
Anyway, hope you are all well. Take care and God Bless.
