Can you believe it? Alana is one week old already! We are doing good here. She has been sleeping an average of 3 hours at a time at night-had one or two 4-hour blocks! Elliott loves her and is pretty excited about having her around. He likes to give her kisses and hugs.
Daddy goes back to work tomorrow and Elliott goes back to daycare. He was home with us Friday and today because daycare was closed. It's been fun and will be weird having just Alana and mommy time tomorrow, but good.
Uncle Dan and Aunt Megan, Alana's godparents, were here over the weekend so we had fun with them here. I have had a very good recovery and have gone on a couple walks and even went to the mall on Saturday.
Alana was 5 lbs 15 oz when we left the hospital and I'm pleased to say that she is back up to 6 lbs 6 oz as of today, only 2 oz left to be back at birth weight! She was "tongue tied", although it wasn't affecting her nursing, we got that clipped today as she couldn't even stick her tongue out. She only cried for a second and bled just a little. What a trooper!
